From Srednji Engleski four, from Stari Engleski fēower, from Pra-Zapadno Germanski *feuwar, from Pra-Germanski *fedwōr, from previous pre-Grimm *petwṓr, from Proto-Indo-European *kʷetwṓr, the neuter form of *kʷetwóres. Dubleti of cuatro and quatre.
